UPDATE 1:40 p.m: One TSA agent was killed and three others wounded, according to a report from NBC. Airport police shot, and possibly killed, the shooter. The condition and identity of the suspect have not yet been confirmed.

A gunman opened fire inside a terminal at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Friday morning (11/1). Authorities evacuated the terminal and surrounded the area to deal with what they are calling a "mulit-patient incident."

At about 9:30 a.m. local time, someone entered terminal 3 at the LAX airport and shot a Transportation Security Administration agent and possibly several others. At least one suspect is in custody and police are searching for any others.

All planes have been grounded. The LA Times reports that as many as three TSA agents may have been shot. One shooter has also been wounded.
