Pop Evil has taken their first number one single, "Trenches," and recorded a remixed version with the legendary rapper Darryl "DMC" McDaniels of Run-DMC fame. The new version of the song will be available on the Super Deluxe Edition of the band's latest album Onyx, but you can check it out below.

The album will hit stores on December 17, with pre-orders on iTunes available now. Frontman Leigh Kakaty described what working with DMC was like saying, "Collaborating with DMC has brought the song to a whole new level, and we are very excited to get it out there to see what the future brings.”

"Trenches" may have been the bands only Number one single to date, but with any luck that will all change soon. The groups latest single "Deal with the Devil" is currently sitting at number two on the charts.

Kakaty expressed how pleased he was with the latest album saying "It's been overwhelming, you know, especially with the singles, you know, people are really excited about this new single, 'Deal With The Devil,' 'Trenches' obviously was a big hit, continues to grow. The album as a whole, it's been the most overwhelming, positive feedback we've had on an album thus far. So, you know, this is still uncharted waters for the band, so hopefully that's a sign that bigger things to come for the band."
