What's more shocking; Sophie Simmons wearing just a bra for the Maxim Hot 100 party or that she's considered a "Plus-Size Model"?

The 24-year-old offspring of KISS founder Gene Simmons and iconic Playmate of the Year Shannon Tweed is making a name for herself as a rising star in the world of modeling. The part that gets a lot of people is that the 5'8" model/actress/singer is considered a Plus-Size Model. The definition of a Plus-Size model is a model who is of at least average size.

Now I know a lot of people have scooted past the words here just to check out the pictures of Sophie, and I don't blame you. Just saying that with recent attention to Plus-Size Models, such as one gracing the cover of the recent Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, maybe its time we just consider a model a model, show that beauty doesn't have a weight limit, and not give a special name to models who happen to be built like everyone else and act like those who look like they've had more birthdays than complete meals are the "standard" model.
