Time for your Cowboys fun facts of the week and revenge is most likely on the Cowboy's minds this week.

The Green Bay Packers, the team that knocked the Boys out of the playoffs last year, will be facing off for the first time this Sunday. The Cowboys have a pretty even split against the Packers throughout the years. Facing off 35 times and the Packers taking the series with 18 wins.

The two teams have faced off eight times in the playoffs, three of those times during the dominate Cowboys 90's playoff run. The two teams have also met twice in the NFC Championship game. During the 90's these two teams got a total of four Super Bowl trophies between them. The Cowboys securing three of them.

Throughout the years the Packers/Cowboys games have been close. Fifteen of the games have been decided by ten points or less. The Cowboys are also much better at home against the Packers. They have a 12-7 all-time record against the Packers
at home including 4-2 in the playoffs.

One of the Cowboys longest win streaks against a single opponent was the Packers from 1991-1996 seasons. The Cowboys won eight straight against the Packers during that stretch of time. It ties the sixth-longest winning streak in Cowboys history.

What does a win mean for the Cowboys on Sunday? Get them over .500 and to 3-2. Which would be the sixteenth time the Cowboys have started the season like that and the first since 2009. The Cowboys would be 3-1 against NFC opponents this season.

This would also snap the Packers two-game winning streak against the Cowboys (including playoffs). This would be the first win at home for the Cowboys against the Packers since 2007. Another fun fact, I drove to Dallas to watch that game because I couldn't find anywhere in Wichita Falls that had NFL Network.
