Patty Catty and Lassie – Humane Society Pets of the Week!
If I had to pick one of my cats as a favorite, I don’t honestly know who I would choose. They have their own unique personality and I’ve come to expect how they’ll act in certain situations. Cracky fears nothing, yet when the garbage truck rolls around, she’s running for cover. Felix is old and has come to discover that he prefers ice in his water, and once he got a taste of that it’s expected now. It’s the little things that make pets awesome, even if I’m scratching my head when they do something strange. Some pets don’t have an owner who really knows them. In fact, they don’t have an owner at all. They’re looking for a home, and you might be the answer to their prayers.
The Humane Society shelters pets, gets them the care they need, gives them the love they’re craving, and does their best to place them in permanent homes. Whether you’re looking for an lazy dog who prefers a quiet walk to play, or a cat who chases toys, chances are the Humane Society will have your perfect match.
Also, during the months of July and August, the Humane Society is working with a grant called “Beat the Heat.” It allows people to bring in their pets to get the spayed or neutered for FREE. Pet overpopulation is a real issue, and with this grant, a few more pets can safely be altered, and their owners don’t need to worry about shelling out money. If you’re interested, call 940-723-7387 and ask for the HSWC grant.
May I present our pets of the week. If you’d like to see them in person or get more information on these pets or any other pets that the Humane Society has, check them out online here or call 940-855-4941. They’re located at 4360 Old Iowa Park Road in Wichita Falls.
Patty Catty is an adult, female, long haired domestic mix. Her family moved away and couldn’t take her along, so she’s looking for a new home. She’s a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly and has a lot of love to give. She’s been spayed, is up-to-date on shots, microchipped, and dewormed. She’d really love a home that she can stay in for the long haul, so stop by to meet her!
Lassie is an adult, large, male Collie mix. If you’re looking for someone to help Timmy after he’s fallen down the well, this is your guy! He’s got a lot of love to give, and he’s ready for his forever home. He’s heartworm tested and on preventative, up-to-date on shots, dewormed, and microchipped. Lassie is looking to come home, can you provide that home for him?
