Pat Robertson Says Peyton Manning Should Be Injured For Replacing Tebow

It was shocking news this week with the Denver Broncos signing the recently released Peyton Manning, and then trading their QB Tim Tebow to The Jets.  And according to one TV evangelist, Manning deserves an injury because of it.

"700 Club" host Pat Robertson spoke out against what he considers to be a raw deal against Tim Tebow on a recent episode,

"He won seven games, he brought them [Denver] into the playoffs, for heaven sakes. I mean, they were a nothing team. He rallied them together with spectacular last-minute passes and, you know, when they beat Buffalo — I mean, Pittsburgh, excuse me — it was a tremendous victory."

Robertson, who defended Tebow when SNL did a skit about  him in December, also seems to be wishing injury on Manning, insinuating that it would be justice,

"And you just ask yourself, OK, so Peyton Manning was a tremendous MVP quarterback, but he's been injured. If that injury comes back, Denver will find itself without a quarterback. And in my opinion, it would serve them right,"

Though Tebow did lead the Broncos close to the AFC championship, I'm guessing that Robertson's support of Tebow is merely because of Tebow's well-documented Christian faith.  Religion aside, when you look at Tebow as a Quarterback with a less than 50% completion record for the last season, its understandable why the Broncos would favor an established player like Manning.
