The fourth annual Revolver Golden Gods Awards are set to invade Los Angeles on April 11, with Marilyn Manson on deck to perform his first show in almost three years at the event. Other performers include Slash, Evanescence, Sixx: A.M. and Black Veil Brides. Further additions to the line up will be announced in the coming weeks.

Iconic soul, gospel and R&B singer Etta James passed away today (Jan. 20) at the age of 72. James had been battling serious illness having first being diagnosed with dementia in 2008.
The metal community was rocked earlier this week by the revelation that Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi was suffering from lymphoma. For all the Guns N’ Roses fans hoping and praying that the members of the band (like Slash and Axl Rose) will be able to bury the hatchet and perform on stage together for the first time in years at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions, don’t hold your breath just yet.
You really never know what you’re going to get from Axl Rose in an interview, and it seems pretty clear that he isn’t exactly eager to discuss the possibility of reuniting the original Guns N’ Roses lineup for a performance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony next year.

The 2012 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class will feature three bands that have helped shape rock music over the past 25 years — Guns N’ Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Beastie Boys were all announced as inductees today (Dec. 7). The ceremony will take place April 14 at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland.

We’re still a long ways away from a full-scale Guns N’ Roses reunion, since Slash would still rather stomp on the olive branch than hand it to frontman Axl Rose, but some factions of the Guns camp are making nice. Rose will be sharing stages in the near future with former Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, revealed Rose in his interview with ‘That Metal Show’ set to air Nov. 11.
