Luckily this cop was in the area. That car was smoking.

This past Saturday in Cleburne, Texas a pretty bad wreck took place. The officer wearing a body cam acted quickly noticing the car was on fire. He grabbed a fire extinguisher from the back of his car and ran over to the wrecked car. The officer puts out the flames before the car becomes completely engulfed.

The driver in the wreck was unconscious and Officer Carter was able to pull the man out of the car. “Officer Carter’s actions demonstrate that there’s more to being a police officer than writing tickets and making arrests,” the department said in a press release. “Officer Carter put himself in danger to save the life of a citizen. All of our officers take an oath to serve and protect the citizens of Cleburne, and on Sunday morning, Officer Carter did just that.”

The man in the wreck was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
