North Texas CEO Arrested for Sex Trafficking

Considering the website he was working, it's not shocking. 

An adult classified website called Backpage is facing some legal trouble right now. Carl Ferrer was placed under arrest yesterday on several charges. He is being accused of adult and child sex-trafficking victims and forcing them into prostitution through escort ads posted on the site. The Dallas offices were raided yesterday and Carl was arrested at a Houston airport after coming back from Amsterdam.

Carl was actually placed under arrest from a California warrant. California authorities said the state's three-year investigation found many of the ads include victims of sex trafficking including children under the age of 18. The site operates in hundreds of cities worldwide, but around 30 in California. The site collected $2.5 million per month just from California.
