Glad to see The Offspring making music again, but it looks like we will all be waiting for that new album for a little bit.

A few weeks ago, Johnny Thrash hooked you up with the new Offspring song 'Coming for You'. It is doing very well on rock radio going into the top ten this week. The Offspring were one of my favorite bands of the 90s hooking us up with such classics as 'Self-Esteem' and one of my personal favorites, 'All I Want'. So I was glad to see the guys making music again.

The last Offspring album to come out was in 2012 with 'Days Go By'. In a recent interview, Dexter Holland was asked if taking time to make the record is a way to build anticipation for it, Holland replied, "We're not that clever, we're just lazy. Every other time we've done a record, we hunker down and go into the studio for a year or however long it takes. We just decided not to do it that way this time. We thought let's just do a couple of songs, work on them when we feel inspired and when we have it done, we thought, why wait? Let's just go ahead and put it out."

The band says about half the record is finished right now and no release date will be announced for awhile. As always I am hoping it's sooner rather than later. If you want to check out The Offspring right here in Texas they will be playing in Frisco on April 25th.
