You probably don't know about John Scott, but his story is beyond messed up. The NHL needs to correct their huge blunder on this one.

John Scott plays for the Phoenix Coyotes. I watch a lot of hockey and had never heard of him until this week. He doesn't play a lot and is know as the enforcer on the team. Basically he is good for big hits and fights. In his eight years in the league, he only has 11 points. Remember in hockey, goals and assists count as your points. This season, he has only seen the ice in 11 games.

Why does anybody give a crap about John Scott? Well he has become a fan favorite and that is important. This years NHL All Star Game was open to fan vote. So whoever the fans voted in, got to go. Somehow, John Scott got enough votes to make the roster. Good for him, it's an exhibition game. Who gives a crap, it's just for fun. If you're taking any All Star game seriously, you need to reconsider your sports loyalty.

I lost all credibility for taking any All Star Game seriously. When Adam Wainwright admitted to giving Derek Jeter pitches right down the middle during his final All Star game. Saying something along the lines of he deserved it. Screw that, I hated Jeter and was pissed when I heard about that. Then I realized, it was an All Star game, why get mad over this.

Well the NHL is taking their All Star game very seriously. They're making changes this year. The game will be played 3 on 3, instead of the standard 5 on 5. 3 on 3 is the new overtime rules and has brought a lot of excitement to the games. So why not play an entire game like this? Sounds fun, I may tune in.

The other changes this year, a fan vote. Which is where John Scott comes in. He got so many votes, he was voted an All Star captain. I could see why the NHL would get upset here. You would want a captain to be one of your faces of the NFL, like Ovechkin or Crosby. Fine, don't make him a captain, but you got to let him be on the all star roster.

Since John Scott is not a premiere player in the league, is salary is probably not that great. Just for going to the All Star game you get bonuses., If your team wins, you split a million between the players. This would be amazing news for John.

John has two kids and a wife who's due with twins the weekend of the All-Star Game. How cool is that, a guy going to the All Star game, twins on the way, bonuses coming his way. Then the NHL had to ruin everything.

Scott was traded to the Montreal Canadiens, who immediately sent him down to the AHL and said they weren't going to call him back up. He's ineligible for the All-Star Game now . What the f*** is that crap? Really, you're going to screw this guy out of some money, when he has twins on the way? All to preserve the holiness of an All Star game.

Do the right thing NHL. The All Star game is on the 31st of this month. Let this guy play, at the very least, give him the bonuses since he has twins on the way. At the top you can hear John for the first time since the trade. Seems like a nice guy, even with all this crap going on.
