Every year it seems we have a whole slew of commercials that the NFL will not allow to air during the Super Bowl, that end up actually making more news simply for getting declined.

As far as I know this is the first commercial to get turned down for this years Super Bowl. The commercial comes to us from Daniel Defense a high end gun and firearm accessory manufacturer. Now the NFL has a policy for running its advertisements during the Super Bowl .

The policy states: Firearms, ammunition or other weapons are prohibited; however, stores that sell firearms and ammunitions (e.g., outdoor stores and camping stores) will be permitted, provided they sell other products and the ads do not mention firearms, ammunition or other weapons.

Now it is possible for the commercial to air on the local level, but it cannot air during the national broadcast. I don't think the commercial is too racy for television. They knew it was going to get banned because of the rule and they are just trying to get people to watch the commercial. You know what it worked.
