New ‘Anchorman 2′ Trailer Places Newsteam in the 80’s
I have been hoping for a sequel to the 2004 Will Farrell comedy smash, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, ever since I first saw the film my junior year of high school. Like millions of people I was more than delighted when I saw ‘Ron’ make an appearance on Conan last year to drop some mad jazz flute riffs and announce that the sequel was finally happening. Then last Christmas I, like I am sure many of you reading this, nearly passed out from anticipation after seeing the 30 second teaser clip that simply featured the entire News Team walking toward the camera on a lighted stage.
Despite all the excitement of finally knowing there would be a sequel to what is clearly the greatest movie of all time (or at least the greatest movie about a1970’s news anchor and the hi-jinx he gets into of all time) the world was left in the dark about what exactly this sequel would be about. Many questions were left unanswered. Questions like: Is it still set in the 70’s? Is Ron still with Veronica Corningstone? Do they all still live in San Diego? Is Ron’s mustache as well groomed as ever? Well fear not my friends… thanks to the new trailer below…. many of these questions are now answered.
