The city and WFISD elections are coming up on Saturday, May 9th.  Early voting begins on Monday, April 27th.  Several council positions are on the ballot as well as the bond proposal from the Wichita Falls ISD.

Two candidates, Krystal James and Michael Smith are running for the At-Large council position.  Also up for grabs are the District 1 and District 2 Council seats.  Stephen Santellana and Walter King are facing off in the District 1 race.  In District 2 it’s Donnie Melton versus DeAndra Chenault.

The WFISD bond proposal seeks voter approval for $59 + million in school bonds to finance a state-of-the art Career and Technology Education or CTE Center, as well as improvements at all of the junior highs and Memorial Stadium.
