May Elections Coming Up in Wichita Falls

The city and WFISD elections are coming up on Saturday, May 9^th.  Early voting begins on Monday, April 27^th.  Several council positions are on the ballot as well as the bond proposal from the Wichita Falls ISD.

Two candidates, Krystal James and Michael Smith are running for the At-Large council position.  Also up for grabs are the District 1 and District 2 Council seats.  Stephen Santellana and Walter King are facing off in the District 1 race.  In District 2 it’s Donnie Melton versus DeAndra Chenault.

The WFISD bond proposal seeks voter approval for $59 + million in school bonds to finance a state-of-the art Career and Technology Education or CTE Center, as well as improvements at all of the junior highs and Memorial Stadium.
