Massive Great White Shark Headed for Texas Coast

Why head to Australia to check out a great white, when one is coming right for us.

I love great white sharks and have always wanted to go cage diving with one. As a kid I loved the movie ' Jaws' and that's probably why I have such a fascination with sharks. Last August a great white that oceanographers have named Katharine has been traveling down the east coast and is headed for the Texas coast. Katharine is fourteen feet long and weighs over 2,300 pounds.

If you are interested you can actually track Katharine's movements at the Ocerch research website. According to the scientists they expected them to move towards Texas in the winter, not the early summer. So if you are heading to the Texas coast this month be on the lookout.
