I think a lot of this would love to do this, but know we could never get away with it.

So this guy totally pulled an 'Office Space'. He just stopped showing up to work. Now in 'Office Space', that was only the course of a couple of weeks. This guy didn't go into work for six freaking years. Now this case just wrapped up this week, but the allegations happened back in 2010.

Joaquín García was accused of not showing up to work. Reports say it was for six years, but some say it could have been as high as fourteen years. How in the hell does this happen? The only reason Garcia was busted is because he was going to get an award for his work. That's right, he was going to be given an award for 20 years of "loyal and dedicated" service.

Garcia has been fined $30,000 for taking wages and not showing up to work. From 2007-2010.  He was supposed to be supervising the construction of a water treatment plant, the BBC reports. But the water company thought the city council was in charge of García, while the city council thought the water company was in charge of him. A water company manager admitted to not having seen García for years despite having an office across from him.

What's nuts is, if he didn't get that award. He could have gotten away with this forever. I think everybody should do a check tomorrow and make sure all their employees are actually showing up for work.
