When you go out camping with your significant other, you may expect to be getting frisky in the middle of the night. For a Florida couple, it was just the opposite when a man mistook his girlfriend for being a wild hog and shot her.

Steven Egan says he heard sounds outside of his tent that sounded like a hog, which he’d been hunting. He didn’t realize his girlfriend wasn’t in the tent with him, so he fired, sending the bullet through both of her legs. She was airlifted to the hospital and is recovering.

No charges have been filed, but if she’s like many women, he’ll pay for his error for quite some time. If they remain together, he’ll still be hearing about this ten years from now.

On the upside, she can get a lot out of this. Foot rubs, bubble baths, pretty jewelry, fancy dinners…
