As of right now I don't have kids, but I will be damned if my future kids do not have "Reading Rainbow" in their lives.

Everyone has those educational television shows they would watch back in the day. Previous generations had "Sesame Street" and "Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood". My generation got the awesome LaVar Burton to teach us about reading. The show would always have a "famous" celebrity read a book for us all to enjoy. At the end of the show LaVar would recommend a book for you to go read. I kid you not, back when I was studious kid, I would go get some of those books at my public library.

Like I said I don't have kids, but I do have some little cousins. If I was ever babysitting them and a new episode of "Reading Rainbow" was on we would be watching it. The one thing I ask, is that they don't change the theme song. It was so catchy and I actually enjoy when it gets stuck in my head.
