Jenna Marbles realizes that movies have a lot of influence in our lives. One of the things that movies teach us is what love should really be like.

Obviously we shouldn’t believe everything we see on film, but the truth is that movies and television really do romanticize certain aspects of life. One such is example is that of Romeo and Juliet, where the very young star-crossed lovers meet, fall in love, marry, and die all within the very short time span of about a week or so. Are we supposed to feel bad for the pair of idiots who ran off, defied their parents, and got married at 13-years-old? What are we teaching our youth?

Chances are that a movie has influenced you at some point. It could be that you believe love will always prevail despite the odds, or maybe you discovered that betting on horses is fun and profitable while watching a movie, or it could be that you suddenly want to start up a secret club for fighting late at night because it’s “cool.” Regardless of what influenced you, you know you’ve taken something away from the films that you’ve watched over the years.

Unfortunately, the message isn’t always something we should be taking with us.
