Jack White appeared on the debut episode of the VH! Show For What It’s Worth on February 21st, and on the show he explained his triple decker collectible vinyl releases that are put out through his label, Third Man. A collector of vinyl himself, White showed how one 7-inch record is placed between two 12-inch records, and the only way to get to the bonus track is by cracking open the larger records.

It’s a great concept and poses quite a decision for collectors, who may never hear the bonus track because they don’t want to damage the vinyl. In the video below, you see White explaining the process and how they came up with the idea.
