Trent Reznor is part of a newer project called How to Destroy Angles. The collaboration is Reznor, his wife, Mariqueen Maandig, and Atticus Ross. The group has signed with Columbia and have a new EP coming out in November titled An Omen.

Their first EP was a self-titled disc including a song titled “The Space Between.” It has gained popularity, though it’s not a comfortable video to watch. It features a bloodied woman singing, a presumably dead Reznor in a pool of blood on the floor, and two others hanging out smoking and talking on the phone.

As for the decision to sign with a major record label, Reznor made a statement on his Facebook:

Regarding our decision to sign with Columbia, we've really spent a long time thinking about things and it makes sense for a lot of reasons . . . but it really comes down to us experimenting and trying new things to see what best serves our needs. Complete independent releasing has its great points but also comes with shortcomings.

Here’s a look at “The Space Between."
