Hospice Radio Day on 102.3 Blake FM – Help Light the Star on the Tree of Lights
Hospice of Wichita Falls has been a huge part of our community since it first arrived in 1985, and each year they hold a Tree of Lights fundraising campaign that finishes up with what we call “Radio Day.” That’s the day that 102.3 Blake-FM turns the station over to the people from Hospice of Wichita Falls and the families of those they’ve helped over the years.
This year’s Hospice Radio Day is Friday, December 12 from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. We’ll spend the day lighting lights for Hospice of Wichita Falls, and if we hit the fund raising goal for the year, we’ll light the star at the top of the Tree of Lights live Friday night during the 6 PM news weather broadcast on both KFDX and KAUZ.
Each light is only $10 and you can light as many as you like.
This year’s annual goal is a whopping $200,000, and to reach that goal we’ll need your help. There are several ways you can light a light or two:
1 - Call In/Text
We’ve got Hospice volunteers manning the phones all day, so punch in 940.687.3555 and make your pledge. NEW! You can now text to donate! Text HOWF to 41444
2 - Log On
You can make a donation online by visiting the Hospice of Wichita Falls website.
3 - In Person
United Market Street
Hospice of Wichita Falls will have a donation table set up right inside the main entrance of the store.
You could even come by our studios in Parker Square and drop off your donation, we’d love to meet you! We’re on the second floor of the Fidelity Bank building at the corner of Kemp and Kell. Just don’t be surprised if we put a microphone in front of you while you’re here!
However you choose to help, and whether you light a light in honor or in memory of someone special in your life, your donation is a lasting tribute. Throughout the year, your Tree of Lights contribution allows Hospice of Wichita Falls to continue providing home and inpatient care to those with life-threatening illnesses and support for their families.
Hospice of Wichita Falls and 102.3 Blake FM thank you very much. And who knows, Santa might even be watching to see how many lights you light …
