Gojira Drop New Track ‘The Shooting Star’

Friday (6/17) is the day we get Gojira's highly-anticipated sixth studio album, Magma, and today is the day we get our first listen to the opening track.

I was admittedly a little surprised when I found out "The Shooting Star" was the opening track. Don't get me wrong, it's a very cool tune, but the slow, droning track is one I would've expected the band to place later in the album. Then again, Gojira have proven themselves to be anything but predictable over the course of their existence.
