Go Behind the Scenes of a Mastodon Show [VIDEO]

Gibson has uploaded a video of Mastodon guitar tech (and brother of frontman Troy Sanders) Darren Sanders doing his thing before one of the band’s recent shows in England.

What I like most about the video is how it really puts the spotlight on the tech rather than the band itself. It’s always nice to see the guys behind the scenes getting a little attention.

In the clip, Sanders reveals how he got into being a roadie in addition to giving a basic rundown of what the job entails. If you’re a total gear geek, the video’s gonna leave you hanging because he doesn’t go into deep detail about the band’s gear as much as he talks about the pros and cons of being a tech.
