One of my favorite bands to come out in the last few years, Ghost have taken the underground by storm and are looking to break out with their cover of Roky Erickson's 'If You Have Ghosts'.

Taken from the band's new EP, If You Have Ghost, the track sees Ghost (or Ghost B.C. as they're legally known here in the U.S.) venturing further into occult soft rock territory and away from the Blue Oyster Cult / Mercyful Fate inspired hard rock style of their debut album, Opus Eponymous. The music's still creepy as hell - if not misleadingly mellow. Sure, the tuneage may be softer, but the subject matter is every bit as heavy as their earlier stuff.

As if the band hadn't already created enough buzz, Ghost enlisted Dave Grohl to produce and even contribute some drum tracks to the EP. The move paid off as If You Have Ghost earned the band a strong chart debut here in the US when the mini-album entered the Billboard 200 chart at Number 87.

Of course, success on the charts doesn't always translate to radio success but Ghost seem to be poised for big things. Give 'If You Have Ghosts' a spin and tell us if you think it has what it takes to grab a spot on the Buzz playlist.
