Super Bowl Sunday is not an American holiday. Well, not an official one, anyway. But if it was, it’d be the best one, by far.

Even if you don’t like sports, the Super Bowl is something you know about and make plans for in advance. It’s a great day for humanity.

This year, we’ll be treated to Super Bowl 47. In honor of this most American of festivities, we give you 47 reasons why this most American of events is so darned amazing:

Townsquare Media, wanted to do just that.  Upon learning of the shooting on Friday, we contacted our partners at Hudson Blueprint to see if it would be possible to have a giant banner made that we could take out and let people sign and write condolences on.  The company came through, particularly Paul Groves, who volunteered to stay late on Friday and to come in on Saturday, his off day, to complete the banner.

From noon to 4:30, Townsquare Media radio stations set the banner up at Wal-Mart on Lawrence Rd. allowing anyone who wanted to sign it, and offer condolences could do just that.  Response was overwhelming. In those 4 hours, over 1,000 Texomans signed the banner.  The banner is being sent to Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut as of today.  We all hope that it can serve as a small token of hope during this very dark time for those affected by this tragedy.  God Bless Newtown and Sandy Hook Elementary.

I managed to scrape up a few pics from the Adult Video News Awards.  Yes, there’s only a few pictures, but they are worth a thousand words each.  Words like; hottie, doable, nasty, and so on.  Click through for a couple pix.

Yeah this is just a few of the highlights of the girls from the Adult Video News Awards, but it beats watching the awards on Cinemax. Dude, no matter how hot the ‘actresses’ are, they aren’t known for talking!

There is no doubt about it, Kate Upton would make one fantastic wife.  So, is she finally settling down?  Kate Upton, the cover girl for this year’s ‘Sports Illustrated’ Swimsuit Issue, has been modeling for Beach Bunny Swimwear.  (Kate also recently posed for pervy photographer Terry Richardson for ‘Harper’s Bazaar.’ You can see new, boob-tastic topless outtakes of that photo shoot. You’re welcome.)

As far as we can see, Kate Upton is the only model Beach Bunny has.  Sounds pretty perfect to us.  The company’s latest line of sexy swimwear is designed with one specific woman in mind: a bride.  We aren’t exactly sure why a bride needs a swimsuit, but we aren’t going to argue.

Kate does a fantastic job of showing off the new suits, as you can see below.  Suddenly, we have a urge to get hitched.

The ‘Best of’ lists are running rampant around the Internet. Good for the Internet. We didn’t feel we should stoop to such a cheap and easy level in blogging. We wanted to just give every other website a ‘thumbs up’ and say ‘good luck with all that.’ Of course that sparked an idea. The best ‘thumbs up’ photos of the year. It’s just dumb enough to work.

Ride For Dime is now in its 6th year, and I cant believe that I did not hear/make it down to DFW for this kick ass event sooner! The whole experience was something I never expected to turn out as, well as totally a neck wrecking, bug swallowing, hot as hell, full of metal loving rockers, good ass time! I could have took a picture every second of that day and even then they still would not do this “rally’ proper justice. Ive included a slew of my favs from the ride and I hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking them!

On the dawn of Aug. 20th, I awake in a oh so familiar place, my buds house, with not a clue of how I got there. I am still half dressed but slightly covered with a unnecessary quilt that feels like a kevlar vest. Its a 110 outside and that’s what you covered me with? Oh well, at least I took my shoes off. I stumble to my feet and the onset of a headache that would kill a small animal, quickly makes me cringe and almost puke. A few aspirin later, and I am filled in on the previous nights debauchery over a cup of Java, and try to jog the memory.

The Triple S’s, some Cracker Barrel, and I’m almost ready to go. Side note, if you plan to ride around on your motorcycle in 110+ heat, its not the best choice to shutdown the bar the night before and on top of that pile on an absurd amount of pancakes at breakfast!  So I leave Grapevine and head south toward, Grand Prairie. The Ride starts at 3pm sharp from Longhorn Harley. I get there with just enough time to cool down, slam some water, take a few pics and make some new friends before its almost time to ride on. I group with fellow street bikers and we all stand around shootin’ the shit until a roar of thunder comes echoing back from the start of the line. Time to go!

We all get suited and booted and head out on to I-20. Feeling like a bad-ass, because we have a police escort letting us rule the road. 250+ motorcycles backtrack into Arlington, down some residential roads and neighborhoods, all the while cars and trucks hitting the ditch to make way for this mass of rolling steel coming down the road. The whole time I cant help but think, ” I wonder what the old people are thinking right now!”  We make our way past the quiet Bowen Rd. address where “Dime” called home for many years. Vinnie, Rita, and the whole crew were out in the front yard to witness all the bikers paying homage. From there we double back around and hit I-20 east all the way to south Dallas. I still regret not getting at least a FEW pics while riding but that might have not worked out too well!

Mind you the police escort, the ones that kept us uniformed for the ride, they peaced out right before entering Dallas leaving 250+ bikers to arrive in Deep Ellum in one piece. It was alright till we merged, with 45 headed into downtown Dallas. Then it was pure madness. All these hogs going from a 5 lane freeway to a 3 lane track with mad car traffic flowing into the mix. Cops were gone, biker gangs were stopping traffic so we could all get on with our ride together. Im sure it ended up as a nightmare for car drivers, having us heathens winding in and out of traffic. It had to be one of the better rides Ive EVER been in.

I cant account for everybody, but the jist of the crowd made it to Deep Ellum in one piece. We all scattered after invading the streets, in search of a cold beer, soda, or hell a water hose would have done just great at that point. I step into a coffee shop across the way, re-hydrate myself and flirt with the waitress while I cool down and wait for the line into Trees to cut short. As I choked down a cig, I manage to snap a few more pics before the madness ensued.

At this time my camera and I part ways, I lace my boots up tight, take enough cash to get me loaded one more night, and I head into Trees for my first ever Ride For Dime concert. I could go on and on with the trashy, sexy, disgusting, gory details of the nights events  for days, but with no evidence, guess you will  have to make the ride yourself next year!

There was plenty of girl on girl action to go around and they even allowed the guys at the club to get in on it!  You know that one rule at any strip club?  No Touching – well the Hollywood Knockouts say f**ck that! Come to their show and you get to put your grimey mits all over their hot bods, oiling them up for the next match! Or if you’re real lucky you may just get to jump in the ring and get smothered in T&A – I mean who wouldn’t want to get smacked around by a couple of greased up strippers?

The night proved to be one of the most titi-rific nights ever and we were able to sneak our camera in to give you a rare look into the shenanigans that took place.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so it looks like we’ve got about 196,000 words for you below! ENJOY!

BUT, I didn’t stop there!  I also included my own interpretation of the signs and changed them to what I thought they should REALLY say.  So as you browse through the photo gallery, enjoy the before and after photos of Wichita Falls’ funniest signs.

The fact that Aranda pretty much destroyed the stage with their amazing vocals and impressive guitar playing, Taddy Porter brought their A-game with their bluesy southern rock style, and Buckcherry rocked our socks off with a high energy anything goes set – made me forget that we were in, what looked like, a 1970s high school gym – also known as Heritage Hall. Oh, and who puts a bunch of chairs on the floor directly in front of the stage at a rock concert?  The area in front of the stage should be wide open with plenty of room for the die-hard rockers to bang their heads and jump around.

Anyway, the show was awesome and the guys from Buckcherry were super cool during the Meet & Greet. Check out the photos of the meet & greet and the performances in the gallery above – and by the way, I think Critter’s camera is as old as he is so we’ll blame the crappy quality of the pics on that.

Spain can take credit for some of the original “jackassery” with the running of the bulls. What you never hear about on the evening news is the all night drink and dancing. Plus, there jumping and crowd surfing from the cities famous fountains (you’ll see one guy who didn’t quite get caught in one of the pics). The festival started on the sixth and goes on for eight days. Here’s a few hot and fresh pics from the celebration in Pamplona Spain.

The band recently revamped their Facebook page and has been putting a ton of energy into preparing for their next show THIS FRIDAY at The Neon Spur with Faint the Fiction  and White Knuckle!!  Awesome fact:  the Lead singer of Faint the Fiction is Jacob Pierce, CJ Peirce of Drowning Pool’s brother.  This promises to be a great show so make sure you are there!  In the meantime, get yourself Roselawn’s latest release:  After the Storm and enjoy the gallery of photos below from Homebrew!

At Fairfield College in New Zealand some students pulled an old prank. It was the one where you take some weed killer and burn a design into a patch of grass. Usually no one notices it until someone sees it from above, like a 2nd or 3rd story window. This time it was much higher. Right after the prank was executed, the satellites that were orbiting the earth taking those awesome pictures for Google Maps happened to fly over. And now they are a permanent fixture of the Google Maps site despite the head of the college pleading for years to replace them. Mainly because they’re giant pictures of wieners! So I was out with the wife and she wanted to stop at an antique store to look around. Trust me guys if tou haven’t already you probably will soon. And when you do you should usually ask to get some later for your troubles. Plus they usually have some really cool old World War II stuff in there and gas signs that are totally for you. Anyway as I was wandering around I saw a few things that I just had to take pictures of and I’m going to let you decide if its just me with the filthy mind, which we already know is true, or if you see it too.
