This year has seen the reunion of Slash and Duff McKagan in Guns N' Roses and now two other former Guns members have linked up for a project of their own. Guitarist Izzy Stradlin and drummer Matt Sorum have written a new track titled "F.P. Money." A snippet can be heard below.

The guitarist broke the news on his Twitter account (seen below), exclaiming, "Izzy Stradlin new single: 'F.P. Money.' Matt Sorum and I crossed paths earlier this year and both agreed it might be fun to one day throw down a new track and see what we get." The guitarist went on to reveal he performed lead vocals and named the rest of the contributors, including Damon Fox (Bigelf, the Cult) on keyboards, Tony Babylon on bass, Rick Richards (the Georgia Satellites) on lead guitars.

Sorum posted on his Facebook page (post below), stating, "Izzy Stradlin and I have collaborated on a new song he wrote called "F.P. Money" out in July everywhere. It was great to reconnect again and make some rock 'n' roll with this great singer, songwriter guitarist and all around cool dude. Music for music's sake, it was really organic and fun. Hope you take a listen. And Turn it Up!!!"

Stradlin, who stated in March he would have "no involvement" in the April Guns N' Roses shows, has been working on other new music as well. Earlier this month, he posted a clip of a new solo song called "Walkin'." His last solo release, Wave of Heat, came out in 2010, marking his eleventh studio album since beginning his solo career in 1992.

Guns N' Roses have retained the services of drummer Frank Ferrer rather than bringing original stickman Steven Adler or his successor, Sorum, back to the fold. Rumors persisted that Adler would have some involvement in the new lineup, even if it were in a limited capacity. Sorum, however, cleared the air stating he was never approached to be part of the reunion of sorts. Meanwhile, Richard Fortus has been holding down the guitar spot once manned by Stradlin.
