Foo Fighters have announced a handful of U.S. tour dates in support of the band's upcoming new album, Wasting Light. Five shows have been unveiled:

May 17 - Tulsa, OK - BOK Center
May 18 - Little Rock, AR - Verizon Center
May 20 - Memphis, TN - FedEx Forum
May 23 - Council Bluffs, IA - Mid America Center
May 26 - Missoula, MT - Adams Center

A ticket pre-sale begins Wednesday (March 16th) at 10:00 a.m. local time for all the shows, with sales to the general public beginning Friday (March 18th) at the same time.

Foo Fighters have gone from club band to stadium headliner over the years, and frontman Dave Grohl mentioned a while back that he's been pleasantly surprised with each stage of the band's growth as a live attraction:

Wasting Light arrives in stores on April 12th. The first single and video, "Rope," are out now.

A new documentary about the Foo Fighters, called 'Back & Forth', premieres this week at the South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas.
