Lubbock Arts Festival - April 11-13

Lubbock, TX

If you’re looking for some of the finest arts and crafts in the area, Lubbock is where you need to go! There will also be a 15K/2M/1M fun run/walk on Saturday during the event. Looking to get more info? Head to the event Web site.

21st Annual Redbud Festival - April 12

Denton, TX

Just 103 miles down the road, the “Redbud Capitol of Texas” is celebrating spring with this festival. It’s a home and garden show with booths, a Kid Zone, and the TRASHion Runway Show. Have you ever seen a runway show made of reused and recycled items? Now is your chance. Admission is free, so mark it on your calendars and head east! You can also get more info on the event Web site.

17th Annual Cornbread Festival - April 12

Malakoff, TX

Malakoff, which is southeast of Dallas, requires a bit more of a trek if you’re looking to take this trip. It’s a 218 mile drive, but at the end you’ll find a festival that’s full of cornbread, a cornbread and bean cook off, a pet contest, live entertainment, and even a 5k fun run. You’ll also have a chance to check out booths set up throughout the festival. Get more info by visiting the city’s Chamber Web site.

5th Granbury Wine Walk - April 24-26

Granbury, TX

Located to the southwest of Fort Worth, Granbury is a 126 mile drive to partake in the sweetest of festivals – the Wine Walk. You can expect wine, food, music, and art on the walk, including a VIP event that will feature delicious selections from some of Fort Worth’s celebrity chefs. Several Texas wineries will take part in the event, so you can expect to get some authentic Texas out of the tasting. Get more info including where to stay after you’ve gotten your drink on through the event Web site.

39th Annual Germanfest - April 25-27

Muenster, TX

Just 70 miles to the east of Wichita Falls, Muenster is waiting to welcome you! The festival includes a fun run, bike rally, contests, music, and of course food. Oh…. The food. You can expect sausages, cheese, cakes, and strudel, and you might even find a pint a beer. The town of Muenster is only around 1,500 people, so you can expect a great time in a small town and you’re sure to be welcomed with open arms. Find out more about the festival here!
