Most 2-year-old cats are fairly easy to please. Food, scratches, play, catnip, nap, scratches. When you're a cat weighing almost 40 pounds, it's not necessarily so easy to play. Meow, the cat in the video below, was brought into an animal shelter a few days ago, and it's unclear as to what his owner was feeding him or how he got to be so large.

He appears to be a pretty laid back cat, but those watching after him are concerned about his health. A 40-pound cat is the equivalent to a 600-pound man, which means the cat's body is really stressed from the extra weight. With any luck he'll get adopted in a family that will care for him and help him shed those pounds.
