Back in April, it was revealed that Evanescence would be returning to the concert stage for Ozzfest Japan, their only scheduled appearance of 2015. But as Amy Lee says in a new posting, playing one date is a bit of a waste. As such, the band has booked several more shows for November, including three U.S. stops.

Lee states, "You know, we're already playing Japan, and it seems like a waste to do all that practicing for just one show.... So to finally answer the question many of you have been asking since the Ozzfest announcement, YES. We're adding 3 U.S. dates in November!"

The stops include Nashville's Marathon Music Works on Nov. 13, Dallas' South Side Ballroom on Nov. 15 and Los Angeles' Wiltern on Nov. 17. Tickets for the Nashville and Los Angeles dates will go on sale this Friday (July 24) at 10AM local time, meanwhile, the Dallas date goes on sale this Saturday (July 25) at 10AM local time. Lee also adds that fans can get first access to tickets with the password "rememberhow2fly" this Wednesday (July 22), before the public on-sale. The band has also scheduled a Nov. 22 date at Chiba, Japan's Makurai Messe, a day after they perform at Ozzfest Japan in Tokyo. Ticketing information for all dates can be found here.

The return of Evanescence to the stage is definitely a welcome sight for fans. Lee had an eventful 2014, as she gave birth to a baby boy, saw the group split from Wind-Up Records and dabbled in movie score work. At one point during 2014, Lee stated that there weren't any immediate plans for Evanescence.

“I don’t like to make predictions about the future, because I’m honestly open-minded, and I would never want to say I’m done with any of it, because it’s a huge part of me. I’ve loved my time with Evanescence, I wouldn’t want to just throw it away," explained Lee at the time. "But, for the foreseeable future, I don’t have any plans to do anything with the band. It’s really important to me to take some time to show some different sides of myself.”

She added, "I’ve said this all the way through Evanescence, especially on the second and third record: ‘I have the freedom to express myself completely within the band, so why would I want to do anything else?’ And that’s true only to an extent, because as much as I could go through a range of emotions, there’s a certain expectation there. With the fans, with myself, I know what Evanescence is; it’s an entity, it’s bigger than just myself, which is awesome, but I can write a song and go, ‘That is or isn’t an Evanescence song,’ and they both happen. So there does need to be other outlets for me to make music.”

These new dates mark the band's first shows in three years. As of yet, there has not been any mention of a new Evanescence album, but the return to the concert stage with the band is definitely welcomed by fans of the band.
