Emmure are looking to break out of the underground with the new single 'E'.

Frontman Frankie Palmeri eschews the growls for a more accessible rap style in the vein of his boyhood idol, Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst. It's been obvious to anyone who's been following Emmure over the past few years that this is the direction the band's been going.

As polarizing as rap metal can be, there's still a market for the genre. However, there isn't a clear leader among up-and-coming bands exploring the style. Emmure just might be the band to change that.

Check out 'E' and let us know whether we should turn it up or toss it out. If you like what you hear, check Emmure out when they play Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Saturday, August 9 at Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas.
