Elementary School Teacher Forced Kids to Pay to go to the Bathroom

What could possibly go wrong with this policy? Oh, kids pissing themselves, that's what could go wrong.

Bathroom policies are different in every grade you go to. Some teachers don't have any and some are really specific with theirs. I remember in high school only one person was allowed to go at a time. Well this teacher had a system setup in her class where you would earn play money to exchange for treats. However, the money is also being used for bathroom passes. If you don't have the money, you could not go to the bathroom in this class. Several students wet themselves and many parents are infuriated.

I remember in college one of my teachers had a very strict bathroom policy. Professor Hoffman, my American Literature teacher, did not allow you to go to the bathroom. We learned this the first week, when a girl got up to go to the bathroom. When she left he stopped class, literally stood there for the five minutes she was gone and didn't say a word. She returned and he said, "Well now that you are back we can resume the lesson." Seriously, we are in college. If I have to go to the bathroom I will go.

I remember I felt really bad for this guy in our class this one time. He was an A student and always was the first guy to put his hand up to answer a question. One day everyone noticed he was really uncomfortable. After five minutes of awkward wiggling in his seat he raises his hand and says Professor Hoffman I am really sorry, but I have to go to the bathroom. He runs out of the room and Professor Hoffman did what he always did. Stand there until the person returned. The kid walks in and says, "You didn't wait did you?" He was obviously embarrassed for simply having an emergency and needing to use the bathroom.

However, karma is a bitch Hoffman because I remember one day late in the semester when your stomach was acting up. You had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the class. When you returned, the kid that sat next to me blurted out, "Glad you could join us, I guess we can continue the lesson now." I will never forget that moment. I am not a teacher, so I know you need to have bathroom policies. However, forbidding students from using the bathroom at all is insane.
