Dead Sara are one of the year’s breakout bands and have only built their profile further over the summer on the Vans Warped Tour. So, it’s with a bit of sadness that the group is having to bow out early.

In a posting at their website, the group states, “We are sad to announce that we are unable to play the remaining dates of the Vans Warped Tour due to our guitarist, Siouxsie [Medley], recently fracturing her ribs. Unfortunately, rib injuries are a tricky thing to heal and she has been advised to rest and recover for the next several weeks to avoid any permanent damage and cancellation of future shows.”

Dead Sara hope to make it up to their fans by returning to the road this summer into early fall. They’ve yet to make an announcement on their remaining post-Warped shows. The group’s run on the tour was set to end Aug. 5 in Portland, Ore. with a few days off before they play the Dirt Fest in Birch Run, Mich. Aug. 11.

The band conclude, “Thanks to Kevin (Lyman), all the bands on Warped, and everyone that came out to see us – it was an amazing experience and we had a blast. We look forward to
seeing you all again.”
