David Lee Roth may be known for tearing up the stage with Van Halen, but he's recently been doing a web series called The Roth Show. As part of that series, he's released a video for his song “One Piece Thermo-Molded Country Plastic Chair,” which he says is dedicated to “all who are affected by and recovering from Hurricane Sandy.”

The song is a slow-down from hits like “Jump” and “She's the Woman,” and the video features Roth and a dog taking in scenes of New York City. While he's wandering the city, you find him seated in a thermo-molded plastic chair, complete with breaks in it which have been repaired by duct tape.

Roth has found time on his hands since Van Halen had to postpone the rest of their 2012 tour due to Eddie Van Halen's bout of diverticulitis, and the band is expected to be back on the road in 2013.

What are your thoughts on this song? Is it good music, or just a cry for attention during a time of tragedy?
