Dave Navarro Tries Flesh Hook Suspension [VIDEO]

Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro is no stranger to strange things, so it should come as no surprise that he’s adding a new activity to his resume – flesh hook suspension.

The band is currently on their “Theatre of the Escapists” tour, and when they announced it, the band was looking for people to do “outlandish” things on stage. It’s good to know that they’re not only looking for those people, but Navarro is willing to try his hand at something outlandish as well.

In this video, you see Navarro get pierced with four hooks and then suspended. Not only is he hanging in the air, he’s also swinging back and forth, which I think would only make matters worse. He takes it like a champ. If you’re squeamish, it may be hard to watch this video. Some blood is involved because, of course, they’re shoving metal through his flesh, and the sheer thought of hanging by one’s skin is enough to make many of us cringe.

Once Jane’s Addiction wraps up their current tour in October, it’s assumed they’ll head to the studio to begin recording a new album which we may see as soon as mid-2013.
