Dave Grohl Releases New Trailer for Sound City [VIDEO]

Dave Grohl has announced that the film Sound City will debut at the Sundance Film Festival next month, and he's released trailers for the film as he's been working on it. Now he has released a new trailer for the film, which will tell the story of the now closed Sound City Studios.

A lot of famous albums were recorded in the studio, and as you watch this clip you get a feel for just how big of a deal it was to record there. The building may not have been impressive and was a turn-off to walk in, but chances are that you have owned an album that came from Sound City Studios.

No release date has been set for the film, but it's expected to be viewed at South by Southwest in Austin next spring, where Grohl has been selected as keynote speaker.
