Daniel Johns of Silverchair Comes Out With New Solo Album [VIDEO]

If you were wanting new Silverchair songs, sorry I don't think this is what you were expecting.

We all probably remember the Silverchair 90's classic, 'Tomorrow'. We haven't really heard much from the band on the rock side of music in years. Silverchair hasn't released anything since 2007, but that album was more electronic than anything. That album sounds nothing like the 90's band we love. I know artists evolve and all of that. That 2007 album sounded like something Coldplay would put out.

See what I mean? Other 90's 'grunge' bands have come out with albums since that era. For example, Pearl Jam or Alice in Chains. Yes, they sound different, but you can still see some of the roots of that band in their new music.

Well Daniel Johns, lead singer of Silverchair has decided to go solo. It reminds me of that time Chris Cornell of Soundgarden had a R&B album. I am not saying the music is awful, it's just not for me. For super fans of Silverchair, I could see how they could be pissed about this one though.
