The Dallas Cowboys had a huge victory against their in state rival the Houston Texans, if you just saw photos of fans in the stands, you would have thought the game was played in Houston.

The Cowboys have played three home games so far this season and a sea of opposing fans colors have drenched each and every game. This past Sunday, the crowd actually made a huge impact on the game. The Houston Texans fans in AT&T stadium got so loud the Cowboys offense had to go to a silent count at home.

I was at the Saints game last weekend and those fans can get pretty loud, but when the Cowboys went up 24-0 those fans quickly exited the stadium. An overwhelming number of opposing fans in AT8T stadium is nothing new. This is the first time I think it actually made an impact on the game. Hopefully this is not a recurring trend for the Cowboys here are my two theories on why this is happening.

AT&T stadium has become the stadium to go visit. Similar to maybe Fenway Park or Wrigley Field. If your team is playing the Cowboys, you want to go to that game and check out the stadium. Hence why the stands are overrun with opposing fans. When Atlanta or Minnesota open their new ridiculously huge stadiums, maybe they will become the stadium to go check out.

Second, too many rich people in the stands. You have WAY too many people going to Cowboys games in suits sitting back drinking martinis like they're at the ball. I always feel out of place in my Dez Bryant jersey sitting next to someone like that. These people will sit back and watch the game on the giant TV screen in the middle of the field. Not standing up on defense to cheer, just sitting there the whole game doing nothing. I hate these people and wish they did not come to games.

Last Sunday in my drunken stupor of trying to find popcorn during halftime, I came across something I did not want to see in AT&T stadium. Yes I was drunk, I got there at 9am for a 7:30pm game. I came across a huge area with food, go up to it and what do I see? A freaking sushi bar with wine tasting, are you kidding me? Everyone there was dressed up like they were at prom and I was waiting for security to be like, what the hell is this guy doing here? Sushi should not be something served at any sporting event, ever.

Another random story on the anarchy of this new stadium. Went to a Redskins game with my old roommate a few years ago. When your team is on defense on third down, what do you do? Stand up and cheer on your defense. This is what we did every third down when we were at the game. Sometime in the 4th quarter security came and tapped me on the shoulder, "Sir you need to sit down, the people behind you can't see". Turn around and it was people in suits and Redskin fans.

I would like to note the jumbotron at this exact moment was saying, "GET UP AND GET LOUD." I pointed to that and said who am I supposed to listen to, you or Jerry Jones. He then argued with me another minute or so, telling me if I don't sit I will get kicked out. Well the Cowboys then got an interception on defense and I told him I would sit now.

In conclusion, we need more real fans in the stands. People that will rock some Dallas Cowboys apparel to games, stand up and get loud. Remember, you can listen to all your Dallas Cowboys games on NewsTalk 1290.
