Barry Church has been holding a grudge for the past few years and it looks like it could explode on Sunday.

It's great seeing the Dallas Cowboys once again in the playoffs. Barry Church is excited to finally get payback on an incident, that actually happened in Seattle two years ago. When Golden Tate was a member of the Seattle Seahawks he laid a vicious hit on Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee. I have to admit, I think it is still a legal hit. He hits him below the helmet. It just looks bad because of the elevation Lee got.

Well during the offseason Golden Tate signed with the Detroit Lions and that just so happens to be who Dallas has in the first round. Some members of the Cowboys are looking forward to facing Tate on Sunday.

"That was the dirtiest shot I've ever seen," Church said on 105.3 The Fan, via ESPN Dallas. "We were talking about it on the way back from Washington, me and Sean. He was just like, 'Man, I wish I could play so bad in this game just to give a little payback for what he did in Seattle.'

"Obviously he can't play, but we're definitely going to keep our radar out for [Tate] because that was a dirty shot. We're looking forward to seeing him. We'll definitely get him back after that, but it will be within the rules, within the rules" said Church.

Golden Tate has actually come out with a statement on the situation.

"I don't hold grudges like that," Tate said. "I go out there and play the game. I stay within the game. I think when you lose focus of the game you turn into a selfish player and you hurt the team potentially. So the most important thing is to go out here and win this game and then the joke will be on them."

"That clearly shows he's worried about the wrong thing; out to get revenge is not going to win the game and it's not going to get you to the next round of the playoffs. That's my only focus is … making an impact on this team to get this win. And honestly, whatever's said, I see it on social media but I don't waste my breath thinking about it. It's good to know that they have a hit out for me two years later. I think it's a little childish."

I am hoping no fights are started during this ordeal or any illegal hits as well. Hey whatever happens in the legal context of the game, I am all for it. You know the referees will be keeping an eye on Church as well as Tate on Sunday.
