To promote the release of the new game "Mass Effect 3", Electronic Arts is planning a unique campaign to not only raise hype for the game, but give players the chance to get a copy of the game before its official release date.

Launching from New York City, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Berlin, London and Paris, copies of the game tagged with GPS markers will be dropped from weather balloons a week before the March 6th release date.  The advance copies of the game can be tracked on the official Mass Effect 3 website, and anyone who finds them will be under no restrictions to wait until March 6th to play it... if it survives the fall from the weather balloon.

In the meantime, a new trailer is expected to debut this Sunday during a new episode of "The Walking Dead" on AMC, and the demo is available for download on XBox Live and the Playstation Network.
