Check Out the Navy’s New Toy

For those of you who don't think lasers are a real thing, guess again. Our navy has released footage of their new drone blasting laser gun and it is awesome!

Our military is way more advanced than the general population Buzzhead. And if you need proof, just check out their newest weapon.

Meet the LaWS, which is short for Laser Weapons System. This new weapon has passed every test the Navy has thrown at it and will hopefully begin deployment by 2020. In fact it performed so well that it's current host, the USS Ponce, has been authorized to use it when needed.

The LaWS can lock onto targets in an instant and shoot them down with nothing but a concentrated laser beam. It's pretty freaking cool.
