St. Louis rockers Cavo are gearing up to drop their new album, ‘Thick as Thieves,’ on April 10. In advance of its release, Loudwire is presenting the exclusive premiere of the music video for the disc’s second single, ‘Celebrity.’

The song kicks off with a thumping bass line as singer Casey Walker offers up the powerful opening lines: “Washed up / Strung out / Living in a blackout / World spinning out of control / Face down / Messed Up / Never gonna be enough / Just another part of the show.”

As for the theme of the song, Walker explains, “Celebrity is really about dealing with the consequences of actually getting what you wished for. It’s a personal look into the responsibility of living up to it. Everything isn’t always so black and white, there’s a very unforgiving grey area where most of us end up.”

The video itself combines footage from an outdoor concert performance by Cavo, with scenes of the band hanging out backstage and in the studio. It depicts the passion Cavo put into their live gigs, along with the strong reaction they get from their fans.

‘Celebrity’ is currently available at iTunes, while the album ‘Thick as Thieves’ can be pre-ordered at this location.

You can catch Cavo live in concert right here in Wichita Falls with Chevelle, Buckcherry, The Veer Union and New Medicine for BuzzFest 2012. Watch Loudwire’s exclusive premiere of the ‘Celebrity’ music video below:
