Cage the Elephant has climbed to the Number 2 spot on the Modern Rock radio chart with their latest single "Come a Little Closer," and what better way to celebrate than with the release of the official music video, which you can see below.

The video was designed by frontman Matthew Shultz and features the band members on a distant planet running from some crazy looking space creatures who just want to eat them.

The video is pretty mind blowing and I would recommend not watching it if you are currently on any kind of psychedelic drugs, we wouldn't want you having a bad trip.

The song is the first single from the bands third studio album Melophobia, which was released in early October and debuted at Number 2 on the Billboard 200 charts. The album has currently sold over 250,000 records so far.

Meanwhile, Cage the Elephant is preparing to set out on a small North American tour in December, hitting up mostly radio festivals before heading over to the U.K. to kick off a run thru Europe.

While they may not be coming to the Falls (their loss), they will be stopping in Austin on December 13 and Oklahoma City on December 14. If you're dying to see these guys live, OKC is probably your best chance to do so before the year ends.
