You're doing chores until your parents are in their grave.

All of our parents would yell it to us when they would go in anywhere. 'Don't touch anything in this place!' I remember that was something my parents would say to me every time we would go in anywhere. Let's face it, kids are clumsy and they can easily break things.

I don't know if you can call this boy a kid anymore. He is 12, he should know how to keep balance at his age. If this was some five year old kid, I couldn't really be mad at him. This kid though tripped and used a million dollar oil painting to break his fall. I would not want to know what his parents felt at that exact moment.

The oil painting is from the Face of Leonardo: Images of a Genius exhibit. The painting was a 350-year-old Paolo Porpora oil on canvas work called Flowers, valued at $1.5 million. Thankfully the painting is insured and it looks like the museum is letting the family off the hook for the restoration costs.

You can check out the hole and how the museum plans to restore the painting in the full story. They're going to attempt to seal the painting from the back, without damaging the original paint. Sounds like a tedious process and glad that it's not my job.
