Black Sabbath have been working on new music, and have even made a few live appearances in recent weeks. The only thing missing from their lineup is drummer Bill Ward, who has stated that he hasn’t been offered an acceptable contract to bring him back.

The rest of the band are excited about playing live and seeing their fans, and also stoked about writing new music. Geezer Butler says that he was told he was chasing a pipe dream when he first started in the music industry. As you and I know, those people have been proven wrong.

Sabbath has been working on music for over a year now, and they’ve been working on a new CD. Tony Iommi’s battle with cancer has slowed that progress down some, but they’re still moving in a forward direction.

As for Bill Ward, there’s no telling if he’ll ever strike a deal that he’s happy with. I’d love to be a fly on the wall to find out what these demands are that he has, because the rest of the band seems to have made deals that brought them back, and without drama. The other original members say that they haven’t talked to Bill through these legal dealings, that everything has been done through Ward’s lawyers.

Well that’s not very friendly.

Check out what the band has to say about making music, getting back into the swing of things, and their thoughts on Ward’s return to the band.
