Black Label Society ‘My Dying Time’ – Crank It or Yank It?
Black Label Society are gearing up for the April 8 release of their 10th album, Catacombs of the Black Vatican, and Zakk Wylde and company have given fans a taste of what is to come with the first single from the disc.
‘My Dying Time’ is the second track from the highly anticipated album and one that maintains that trademark BLS sound combined with a haunting, Alice in Chains kind of vibe. Of course, Zakk’s fretwork is top-notch as always. The tune features a killer lead and Tony Iommi inspired riffing reminiscent of Black Sabbath’s ‘Into the Void’.
While it’s not unusual to hear Black Label Society on the radio, the band aren’t really in the business of delivering hit singles. They do what they do for their loyal fans (a.k.a. Berserkers) and they do it well. So if radio grabs hold of a single and gives it a few spins, that’s just an added bonus.
Crank up the latest from the mighty BLS and let us know what you think about the song.
