Baroness Have Officially Crossed Over [VIDEO]

Not that it should come as any surprise because Baroness have always teetered between playing hard rock and heavy metal, but it looks like Yellow & Green will be a pure rock record and I'm okay with that.

So far the two tunes I've heard "Take My Bones Away" and "March to Sea" (which you can listen to below) are both brilliant and uniquely Baroness. I initially wrote Baroness off as a Mastodon clone but after giving the band a chance, I discovered a band that carved their own niche in the Georgia metal scene and I venture to guess that at this point, they're every bit as influential as the boys from Atlanta.

All I know is that when Yellow & Green arrives on July 17, don't plan on yours truly being very productive until I've had a good couple of hours to fully digest the record.
