Axl Rose was very humbled to be called the greatest singer in a recent list, but Axl has some others he would put ahead of himself. In fact a lot of others.

If your profession was just to sing, you would love to be on a list for the greatest singers. The list was compiled based on a singers range to hit different notes. The list said he had a range of seven octaves. "If I had to say who I thought the best singers were, I'd say first that I don't know there's a definitive answer as in my opinion it's subjective, and second that my focus is primarily rock singers," said Axl.

"That said, I enjoy Freddie Mercury, Elvis Presley, Paul McCartney, Dan McCafferty, Janis Joplin, Michael Jackson, Elton John, Roger Daltrey, Don Henley, Jeff Lynne, Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra, Jimmy Scott, Etta James, Fiona Apple, Chrissie Hynde, Stevie Wonder, James Brown and a ton of others (predominantly Seventies rock singers) and would rather hear any of them anytime rather than me!"

Axl has been getting a lot of recognition recently. At the Revolver Golden Gods award show he got the lifetime achievement award. If we could only somehow get him and Slash together for one more tour. One can only hope.
