Avenged Sevenfold is planning on releasing a new album sometime this year and just to get us even more pumped up, they have released a teaser of a song off the new record. You can check it out here and it sounds pretty damn good. I'm an Avenged Sevenfold fan so I'm already excited about the new album, even before hearing this teaser.

The new album will follow, Nightmare, the bands 2010 album which landed them their first number one album one the Billboard 200 chart. When asked by NME about the new album, M. Shadows said it's "a little more groove orientated . . . every song has gotta have a huge riff and every song has to have a groove to it."

This is the first album the band has written without drummer and key songwriter James "The Rev" Sullivan, who passed away in December 2009. Guitarist Zacky Vengeance said recently "We're not the kind of people to just take a break and say everything's going good, you know, let's rest on our laurels, act like rock stars -- we take it very seriously and we certainly aren't just celebrating and doing a victory lap. We're focused on making our fans happy, keeping each other happy, so we can do this forever."

And I just checked out the Avenged Sevenfold website which, if you have never done, is pretty bad ass. Its set up like an old school TV/Radio, push the buttons to either listen to music or watch the video. And if you listen to the music you can turn the knobs to hear Avenged Sevenfold songs plus a few covers they have done. Pretty cool right? Check it out HERE.
